The Best Upgrade to my 6th Gen 4runner
"I drove out to San Diego from Colorado to work with the Solid Wood Worx team and have their drawer system installed in my 6th Gen Toyota 4Runner. Since then, the drawers have made a massive difference in how organized and functional my setup is while traveling and camping. One of my favorite parts is having a dedicated place to keep my camera gear organized and completely out of sight while I’m away from the vehicle. I also really like how customizable the compartments are, allowing me to change the layout depending on what I’m bringing on each trip. I use one drawer primarily for clothing, camera accessories, and camping supplies, while the other holds cookware, food, and emergency gear. Everything stays organized, easy to access, and secure while driving. The system feels extremely solid and well-built, and it has quickly become one of my favorite additions to my 4Runner. I would definitely recommend Solid Wood Worx to anyone building their 6th Gen 4Runner for camping, overlanding, or road trips."

"Customer service was pretty good. Electronic components were damaged when package arrived. One of the bottom boards did not have the correct cutouts. Waited 3 weeks for replacement. Lots of pieces were warped or not square. Had to ratchet strap box into shape square enough to fit in my 4runner, but not too tight to bind the drawer. Awful building and installation process. Video needs a big update. Parts should be labelled for easy identification if you don’t watch the video."

Great customer care
"With so many drawer systems on the market, narrowing down the right one for my family and me wasn’t easy. I wanted something custom-fitted for a 4Runner—not just a bulky box strapped down with tie-downs. For as long as I can remember, I had my eye on Solid Wood Worx. Ultimately, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase their pre-cut kit. Shipping was impressively fast—the main kit arrived within a couple of days. The drawer slides and fridge slides shipped separately from other suppliers but also arrived quickly. Installation was straightforward, though I did run into a few minor issues. Brian addressed each one promptly and professionally, even using the opportunity to train his team. It was reassuring to see him not only fix the problem but also ensure his staff gained a better understanding to prevent similar issues in the future. In the end, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Brian and the team at Solid Wood Worx are fantastic to work with, and the final product exceeded my expectations."

During the installation and after my expectations are more then succeeded. I opted for the hard black vinyl coating and I have to say it was worth the upgrade crazy high quality perfect fit everything aligned up just right very clean install thank you guys so much highly recommend."

Fantastic drawer system
"I use my drawer system all the time. Since we got it we traveled from Washington state to Utah to all the national parks. We could stop and make lunch and sit at the back of our rig. We have also used it on several camping trips throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho."

Some room for improvement with an otherwise outstanding product
"Overall, I'm happy with this product. I think it's excellent for the cost, and have already used it camping and it was a great experience. Brian's customer service is incredible, and you can tell he's made a great product. My biggest suggestion to improve this product, however, would be to include written instructions to go alongside the videos. The video walkthroughs are a great asset, but they can't capture everything that detailed diagrams/labels can. Even something as simple as labeling the wood/slider components would have greatly helped. Some other notes for those interested: - Package arrived quickly (in 3 different boxes, and 3 separate deliveries, just FYI). - My kit was missing some hardware (a few screws, and a couple T nuts, which required a trip to the hardware store)."

Awesome kit!
"Excellent kit! Very well designed, planned, and excellent experience overall. I received my kit quickly and the build was intuitive enough — super helpful to have the guide videos on while putting together. The wood/hardware came well-packaged and shipping was fast! I only ran into a few quirks during the build — the wood requires a bit of sanding before assembly, so I’d budget that into build time. I have a 3rd gen 4runner, and I believe I was sent hardware for 5th gen models. Not a big deal, but did require an extra trip to a hardware store for the correct screws/mounting hooks/bolts. All in all, awesome kit — easy to fold up, drawers are solid and gorgeous, and the side cubbies are a nice touch for additional storage. I’m stoked to get out there with my new kit! Turned out great, but not quite perfect.
"My drawer system turned out great! The drawers fit perfect and slide so smoothly. All of the pre-drilled holes made assembly very easy. The wood is a very soft wood, which I wish weren’t the case. Made it very easy to strip or split the wood and even so much is pushing a plastic bin over the surface of the drawer system is enough to scratch the surface and leave an indentation. Assembly was easy once I could figure out what went where, but figuring this out was quite difficult. Assembly was easy as assembling an IKEA kit if the IKEA kit had absolutely nothing labeled. Where some parts went wasn’t necessarily straightforward, and after the entire kit was installed, there were even some leftover pieces, which did not provide much peace of mind that I assembled everything g correctly. Overall, I think this is a great kit and I’m excited to use it, though I think the product as a whole, could definitely be improved."
