4Runner 1st Gen [1984–1989] Drawer System DIY Plans

This all-in-one digital plan set includes everything you need to build a complete drawer system for your 1st Generation Toyota 4Runner (1984–1989). With detailed cut lists, step-by-step instructions, and printable templates, you’ll be able to create a custom setup built for storage, function, and adventure.

What’s Included:

Dual Drawer Box Plans: Build the base drawer system with full dimensions (39" wide x 41" deep x 7" tall). Designed to fit perfectly between wheel wells and up to the back of the second-row seats. Compatible with 36" drawer slides.

Side Cubby Templates: Printable on 8.5" x 11" paper to trace and cut your own side cubbies. These add extra storage with the option for a hinged top for quick access. Some sanding or trimming may be needed for a perfect fit.

Drawer Dividers & False Tops: Add organization with plans for drawer dividers creating three 12” compartments, plus two removable false tops that sit flush — ideal as a table surface when the drawer is pulled out.

Bed Extension Plans: Build a platform extension that connects to the drawer box and creates a flat sleep space over 5.5 ft long when your second-row seats are folded down.

Optional Hardware Add-on: Upgrade your build by selecting the Hardware Kit Add-On. It includes all hardware needed to build your DIY system — drawer slides (250 lbs), hinges, mounting brackets, and screws — saving you a trip to the hardware store - (Wood not included).
